Background of Casemiro
Carlos Henrique José Francisco Venâncio Casimiro simply known as ‘Casemiro’ was born on the 23rd of February, 1992 in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil.
The defensive midfielder is obviously in his prime and is playing the best of his football, maturing even further as time passes. While it was previously believed that a 30+-year-old footballer is way past his prime, modern football has proved this belief wrong and we can expect Casemiro to continue playing at peak form for years to come. He shares his birthday with the likes of former Atletico Madrid and Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan and former and Manchester City defensive midfielder Gareth Barry.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder was born in Sao Jose dos Campos in Brazil, which means that Casemiro nationality is Brazilian. Of course while we have seen numerous world-class talents represent the Brazil national team and perform at peak level, Casemiro has been criticized at times for not being able to replicate his club football performance during international games. Of course such allegations haven’t stopped the Brazilian from earning the honor of donning the captain’s armband during international duty.
